EXHIBIT A / THE INMATES OF WARD XVIHailing from Preston in the North West of England, Ward XVI bring together dark storytelling, heavy music and an immersive theatrical show. Drama, puppetry and striking visuals retrace the past of Psychoberrie, a fictional serial killer incarcerated within the ward.
The Art of Manipulation began her story in 2017. Metamorphosis followed in 2020, before ID3NTITY brought the trilogy to its conclusion in 2025. Melodic vocals and metal riffs sit alongside ska rhythms, melancholy piano, accordion and touches of electronica.
Live, the inmates take that story beyond the albums. Monsters, theatrics and audience participation turn the stage into Psychoberrie’s world, with performances that have taken the band from Bloodstock to London’s Roundhouse.
